AM (or Amplitude Modulation) is an analogue radio broadcasting format.

It used to be used exclusively for radio broadcasting, at least until relative popularization of FM (or Frequency Modulation) in 1960s and 1970s.

As of 2024, there is 4 national radio stations, which are still broadcasting in AM:

AM broadcasting licenses are still available for radio stations who are interested in broadcasting on this specific radio standard.
