Peräjärvi Incident of 1995 (fin. Peräjarven tapaus vuonna 1995, jap. 1995年のペラヤルビ事件 [1995-Nen no perayarubi jiken]) has been a TV related incident, which happened on local television of Peräjärvi - Valtionkanava 1 (VK-1) in time of TV shopping in April of 1995.
Viewers were asked to buy "new unreleased episodes" of Sailor Moon on VHS through a 0890 phone number, with a set rate of 2,50 marks per minute. One VHS recording could cost around 400mk., not including postage and delivery. Delivery of orders did not happen, and the only recording of the incident has been donated to the National Archives.
Currently, no refunds of orders have been done and were considered the biggest scam in history, up until 2005 when a similar crime happened.
